The CBI has arrested 7 YSRCP workers who had shared defamatory social media posts on the High Court Judges. It may be recalled that the CBI arrested fifteen of them earlier for posting remarks against the Judges.
Some Ministers and also MLAs have also talked against the Judges in recent times.
An investigative wing of the CBI is now in Andhra Pradesh and the said 7 individuals were presented in the CBI special court. The Judge issued a remand till the 26th of September for the accused.
The individuals were identified as CH Praveen Kumar Reddy, G Mallikarjuna Rao, Ashok Reddy, S Ranga Rao, Ramanjaneyulu Reddy, and Ravindranath.
All the seven accused were shifted to the Vijayawada district jail. A further investigation is in place now and the accused could be facing legal consequences for their social media posts against the judges.
The TDP leaders have also filed cases against the Ministers and also MLAs of the YSRC for making comments against the Judges. But the people of Andhra in general were in praise of the Judges and the judgements especially when it comes to the issue of retaining Amaravathi as the lone sole capital of the Andhra Pradesh state.
