Sri Somesh Kumar IAS along with DGP Mahender Reddy held a meeting with officials and reviewed the arrangements being made for Telangana Jateeya Samaikyatha Vajrotsavalu to be held from the 16th to 18th of this month at BRKR Bhavan today.
Chief Secretary informed that the ceremonial event will be held at the Public Gardens on the 17th where the Honourable Chief Minister will unfurl the National Flag. Therefore, he directed the officials to make proper security arrangements, barricading and other necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the event. Uninterrupted power supply along with proper sanitation measures should be ensured, he added.
The Chief Minister will inaugurate Banjara and Komarum Bheem bhavans on that day. He will also address a public meeting at NTR stadium in which tribals from all the districts would participate. Thousands of people, including folk artists will assemble at the Peoples Plaza at Necklace Road and will reach NTR stadium in a huge procession. They will be depicting the rich cultural heritage of the state.
Chief Secretary stated that all the departments should work in close coordination. Special Chief Secretary Energy Sri Sunil Sharma, Special Chief Secretary Sri Aadhar Sinha, Addl. DGP, L&O Sri Jithender, Principal Secretary Home Sri Ravi Gupta, Secretary GAD Sri Sheshadri, Secretary PR&RD Sri Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Secretary TR&B Sri Srinivasa Raju, GHMC Commissioner Sri Lokesh Kumar, HMWS&SB MD Sri M.Dana Kishore, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad Sri C.V.Anand and other officials attended the meeting.
