UV Krishnam Raju the veteran hero who died this morning was a photojournalist before entering the film industry. He was awarded the Second Best Photographer at the state level.
The final rites of Raju will be performed on Monday in Hyderabad. He has three daughters.
Krishnam Raju also knows Homeopathy and has treated many of them with his medicines. Raju is a great host. He went for a public issue with the company Gopi Krishna Granites.
He owns Gopi Krishna movies and also UV creations for film production. Raju won five Filmfare Awards South and three state Nandi Awards.
Raju worked in about three hundred movies as a villain and also as a hero.
Krishnam Raju was also a professional agriculturalist who owned a lot of farming land in West Godavari. They also have Asia’s biggest cinema theatre which has a huge seating capacity.
Krishnam Raju joined BJP- Bharatiya Janata Party and was elected to the 12th and 13th Lok Sabha from Kakinada and Narasapuram constituencies.
In 2009, he joined Praja Rajyam Party, founded by megastar Chiranjeevi and contested for MP seat from the Rajahmundry constituency and lost.
After that, he rejoined the BJP. He looked at the YSRC, but stayed back in the BJP
He also served as a Minister of State for the Ministry of External Affairs during the Vajpayee regime.
