Amidst the ongoing discussion about the 2024 Prime Ministerial candidature of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the poster outside the Janta Dal United (JDU) office has changed in Patna.
Beginning the poster row, the Mahagathbandhan has hinted at its preparation for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.
This comes a day after Nitish Kumar and Telangana CM’s meeting in Bihar where two leaders were witnessed saying “Baithiye”, “Chaliye” to each other revealing the disagreement among the probable PM contenders.
Both the CMs maintained their silence when asked about the Opposition’s PM face in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Earlier Nitish urged all Opposition parties to start preparing for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. “Let all parties stick together for the 2024 polls. All Opposition parties have to come forward,” he said, declining to comment on queries about moving to politics at the national level.
On the other hand,Union minister and senior BJP leader Giriraj Singh, a known detractor of Nitish Kumar, sneered at the talk of “PM material” and stressed that the JD(U) leader “is not capable of even becoming the CM on his own”.
“Nitish Kumar must be the only chief minister who has been sworn in eight times but never heading a government of his own party. He always needs allies whom he uses like a crutch,” Singh, who represents Bihar’s Begusarai seat in the Lok Sabha, told reporters in Gopalganj district.
