Greattelangaana reported earlier that Venkaiah the VP could be the next President. Now the developments are an indication that he could be the President.
BJP president JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah Todaycalled on Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, sparking off speculation ahead of the party’s Parliamentary Board meeting to decide the candidate for the upcoming election to the top post in the country.
Amit Shah and the BJP chief held a separate meeting following which they drove to Naidu’s residence, sources said, adding that Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was also present at the meeting.
There is also a talk that they might have given an indication of the candidate to be fielded for the next President. It could be like a thank you to Venkaiah.
But there are more chances of Venkaiah taking over as the next President of India.
