There is no clarity on if Prashant Kishore the poll strategist is joining the Congress party. But the committee members are more or less OK with the suggestions given by Prashant Kishore for the future elections.
But some of the Senior Congress leaders are unhappy that PK is working for the TRS in Telangana. What will happen to Congress in Telangana is the question.
Sonia Gandhi also met members of the eight-member group which went through Kishor’s presentation. The group comprises P Chidambaram, Ambika Soni, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Digvijaya Singh, Jairam Ramesh, Mukul Wasnik, K C Venugopal, and Randeep Surjewala had met several times last week to go through Kishor’s presentation and prepare a report.
In principle, sources said, the committee has agreed with most of the suggestions made by Kishor. But there is no unanimity for PK joining the Congress. It looks like they will take some more time to decide on the issue of PK coming into the party.
Some seniors are worried that he might hijack the Congress party from the Gandhi family members. PK is known for creating differences among the leaders in all the states where he has worked.
Now there is talk that Mamata and Nitish will not work with him any further after PK joins the Congress.
