While the demand for the Flats has come down in Hyderabad and other surrounding areas, the cost of Cement is looking upwards on daily basis.
The cost of Steel rate is also going up. The sharp increase in raw material prices will continue to impact cement manufacturers, as they have only taken modest price hikes so far.
The cement companies are planning to take calibrated hikes starting this quarter to pass on the higher cost of raw materials.
The Telangana Government will have to bear the brunt of the cement and the steel rates as they are doing development on a massive scale.
Two-bedroom housing will become more costly for the Government apart from the flyovers and the underpasses. The TRS Government is determined to continue the welfare schemes despite the rise in the cost of materials like Cement and steel.
Cement prices recorded a Rs 15-17 per bag increase from January to February at an all-India level, peaking at Rs 390 per bag.
However, prices marginally fell Rs 3 per bag in March to Rs 387 per bag. In April, cement companies hiked prices by Rs 20-50 per bag across regions to mitigate cost increases.
It looks like the cement will touch Rs four hundred per bag in the coming days.
