Andhra Pradesh state employees have decided to take the agitation path, in protest of the recent pay revision announced by the Jaganmohan Reddy government. The revision, the employee unions say, cuts the already availed benefits.
Employees’ associations took the decision after a meeting with Finance Minister Buggana Rejendranath and Chief Secretary Sameer Sharma in the Secretariat.
Speaking to media persons after the meeting, Buggana said that the satisfaction of employees was key in an effective public service delivery mechanism.
We were forced to take the agitation path as there was no response from the government on the financial and non-financial issues raised by us.
The Finance Minister and the Chief Secretary gave an assurance to resolve all the issues in a time-bound manner and appealed to us to call off the agitation said the employee unions.
The Government could not break ice with the employee unions and they have decided to go on with the proposed strike. The TTD employees are also supporting the Government employees.
