The Jagan Government failed to convince the employees. The state government employees in Andhra Pradesh have decided to go on an indefinite strike from February 7 against the government’s new Pay Revision Commission. The protests are against the new pay scales fixed by the state government.

The employees stated :”We will go on an indefinite strike from February 7. We are going to submit a representation to Chief Secretary with our demands in it,” said Secretariat Employees Association President K Venkatramireddy as quoted by media.

Employees are against the new Pay Revision Commission since the government issued GOs by fixing new pay scales.

The employees’ unions were shocked after the government through the GOs has reduced the House Rent Allowance (HRA) slabs and removed City Compensatory Allowance (CCA).

This is the first time in the History of a state in the country that the employees wages have been reduced after the PRC.
