The main objective of the Conference operation Muskan was to discuss the strategies for tracing of Missing Children, Bonded/Child Labour, the rescue of street children, Beggars and Trafficked Children under the month-long Operation Smile-VIII Program. The Program

envisages that the rescued children have to be reunited with their families or sent to the Child Care Institutions or others Hostels etc. and the rescued children (Boys & Girls) would be joined in the specialized schools in coordination with Education Department.

The Addl. Director-General of Police, Women Safety Wing, Telangana State i.e. Smt. Swati Lakra, IPS is the chief guest and in her closing remarks mentioned that the VIII-Operation Smile in Telangana State from 01.01.2022 to 31.01.2022.

Tracing of missing children, Bonded/ Child Labour, rescue of Street Children, Beggars and Trafficked children is a sacred duty of those who are going to participate in the Operation.

She further stated that handling those issues would be very sensitive and need to be handled with care and compassion. The menace of Child/ Bonded Labour, Trafficked Children has many ramifications on the society and that the rescued children should be provided good education, working skills to make them self-reliant, she opined and further added that only then, the children would be able to lead their lives with dignity and respect in the society.

While reiterating the importance of the program, she sought all the stakeholders in Operation Smile to work in better coordination with each other in realizing the objectives of the Program. She wished to see a Child Labour/Bonded Labour Free and Child Trafficking Free Telangana in the near future.
