Telangana has seen a sharp increase in the sale of liquor on October 15 during the Dussehra festival. It is estimated that liquor worth over Rs 150 crore was sold across the state on Dussehra. 150 crore per day is a very good sale.
The Excise Department said that the sale of beer has increased by 53 per cent in the last few days. The sales increased on Saturday and Sunday also that is on 16nth and 17nth.
The sale of liquor has been increasing rapidly in the last year and the pandemic has further fueled the demand. There was a slump in every business during the Corona period, but the sale of liquor, condoms and medicines was very high.
People one way enjoyed by working from home. This is not new to the state of Telangana. Liquor and non-veg sales are very high during the festival period.
