The petrol cost is around Rs 110 per litre while the diesel is hovering around Rs 100. There is a talk that the petrol will reach around Rs 150 per litre.
There is non to stop the Government from this. In fact, the government is making fast bucks with the sale of petrol and diesel. When the IT companies start functioning from the offices and use petrol for the employee’s transport they will feel the pinch.
The same will be recovered from the employees on monthly basis. The hike fule rates will have a cascading effect on the transport of other times and they will become constantly in the long run.
The vegetables have already become costlier. Tomato is costing Rs 40 per kilo. The sweet oil prices have gone up. The rice rates have gone up the dal prices are not under control.
People are hesitating to use mass transport because of Corona. Individual transport is costing too much and mass transport is not being preferred.
The LPG rates are also going up. The subsidy portion is very less. The non-subsidised cylinder is costing around Rs 900 now. But there is non to protest.
Earlier the communists used to go on a protest when it was increased by just 10 paisa. But no one is bothered now. They make press statements and forget about it.
