Dr Shashi Taroor, Chairperson, Standing Committee on Information Technology 2020-21 along with his committee colleagues from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha planted saplings at Shiparamam today.
The Parliamentary Standing Committee was on their study tour.
They participated in the Green India Challenge initiated by Rajya Sabha MP Joginpally Santosh Kumar on their visit to Hyderabad.

They appreciated Santosh Kumar for his novel initiative and called upon all the Indians to Carry forward the Green India Challenge.
They felt that this effort will surely increase greenery in our Nation.
Dr Shashi Taroor while appreciating the efforts of RS MP Joginpally Santosh Kumar and initiative of LS MP Dr Ranjith Reddy to make Parliamentary standing committee on IT, be part of the Green India Challenge.
He felt that the fruits of the saplings we plant may be enjoyed by the next generations, Nation-building is also the same.
Sashi said that efforts we make today should be benefitted tomorrow.
He asked all the people of to participate in the Green India Challenge initiative.
The Honourable MPs were presented with Vriksha Vedam book written by MP Santosh Kumar from TRS.
TRS LS MP Dr Ranjith Reddy co-ordinated the plantation along with the Green India Challenge Representative Raghava and others.
