The Song of Bheemla Nayak for the Hero Pawan Kalyan soud good. It says that the culprits will be punished and the police will break the bones. But Ramesh the DCP of police did not like it.
He objected to the way the police have been depicted in the song. It is just a movie song and the DCP need not take it seriously. Ramesh worked with the late YS Rajasekhar Reddy as a security officer earlier.
He is a sincere police officer there is no doubt about it. But that does not mean he can interfere with the creativity of the writers.
Hyderabad East Zone’s DCP M. Ramesh has criticized the lyrics of the song. He said that cops won’t break the bones of those whom the police are paid to protect.
He questioned lyricist Ramajogiah Sastry for his choice of words used in the song.
Thankfully, @TelanganaCOPs are #PeopleFriendlyPolice . We don’t break the bones of those whom we are paid to protect ! Surprisingly, @ramjowrites couldn’t find enough words in Telugu to describe the valour of a cop. No mention of service in the song. https://t.co/EsQVaW5p2s
