The TRS Government will resolve all the issues pertaining to the Cinema Industry. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed the Minister for Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav to have a meeting with the representatives of the 24 crafts and finally come to a conclusion over the matter.
There is a talk among the cine circles that the Cine Industry is going to shift to Visakhapatnam. But there is no confirmation as yet over the matter. There was no reason why the industry must go away from Telangana. The Government here is ready to do everything for the development of the Industry.
Hyderabad is a hub for the cinema industry with 5,000 movies being shot each year, in different languages. Apart from commercial aspects, rebates in payments for shoot locations, as well as the implementation of labour Acts in all the 24 crafts of cinema have been discussed with Minister Srinivas Yadav. We will get more clarity on this by the next meeting the Minister stated.
The meeting also decided to allow theatres to screen the fifth show, as requested by the exhibitors. The GST and the Power bills issues also will be resolved the Minister assured.
Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao earlier has announced an idea of setting up a film city of international standards on the outskirts of Hyderabad for which the government would allow 1,500 to 2,000 acres of land.
There are ample opportunities to further develop the film industry here. Plots in the film city will be allocated to the film production companies to set up studios with state-of-the-art technologies and to suit the needs of the future he assured.
