Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today inaugurated the double bedroom houses constructed near Mandepalli of Thangallapalli mandal and distribute house pattas to beneficiaries today.
After doing Pooja here at the double bedroom housing colony he offered sweets to the owners of the houses here. He went around the colony along with IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao.
Besides 2BHK, the Institute of Driving and Research Center (IDRC), Integrated District Collectorate complex, government nursing college and modern agriculture market yard were also inaugurated by the Chief Minister.
Each house contains two bedrooms, a hall, a kitchen and two toilets. About 12 houses were constructed in each block in an extent of 2,200 square feet area.
An amount of Rs 6.05 lakh was spent on each house to take up construction as well as arranging basic facilities. An additional amount of Rs 8.12 crore was spent to construct the compound wall, main entrance gate, road dividers, and footpaths in the housing complex on the lines of a gated community.
To provide safe and protected drinking water, Mission Bhagiratha water connection is also given to each house. Instead of hanging wires openly from electric poles, power connections were given to houses through an underground cable.
Besides three open gyms, two parks are also developed in different places to ensure children can play games.
Both State and Central governments established IDRC in 20 acres of land by spending Rs 22.82 crore in Mandepalli to give training in driving. The first training centre in the State, IDRC is developed with international standards.
