Somesh Kumar, IAS., Chief Secretary to Government of Telangana, today participated in the 4th phase of Palle Pragathi Program organised in Nanajipur Village in Shamshabad mandal of RangaReddy district. Local MLA T. Prakash Goud along with local public representatives were present.
Chief Secretary speaking on this occasion said that as per the vision of Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrasekhara Rao, took up the massive programme of Palle, Pattana pragathi programmes with the aim of all round development of villages and towns in the State. The Government also taken up HarithaHaram Programme to improve the green cover manifold in the State.
Chief Secretary asked the public representatives and officials to work with co-ordination to transform villages and towns into clean and green habitations. He also asked Sarpanches to focus on sanitation and health in the villages.
Chief Secretary appealed public to plant saplings in a big way so that the entire village is covered with greenery. Each household will be supplied with six varieties of saplings to be planted in their backyards. He observed that spread of contagious diseases have fallen considerably in the villages with supply of potable water through Mission Bhageeratha scheme.
He asked to make use of Vaikuntadhamams constructed in the villages. Chief Secretary instructed the officials to complete C.C. Road works immediately.
In view to eradicate poverty among Scheduled Castes, the Chief Minister came out with the Novel programme “Dalith Empowerment Scheme”. Under the scheme 100 people will be identified and sanctioned 10 lakh Rupees for each beneficiary which will be directly credited into their Bank accounts on the lines of Rythu Bandu Scheme in every assembly constituency. The guidelines under this scheme will be issued shortly, Chief Secretary added
