People have come on to the roads for 4 hours to get groceries and vegetables on Sunday. There was no other option but to go to the vegetable markets and kiran shops to get the Kirana items.

People were wearing masks but there was no chance to observe the social distancing and Covid rules. They were forced to grab whatever they could get in the markets and rush back to their homes by 10 am.

There was a heavy rush at the non-veg shops also. The police had a tough time controlling the crowds at the markets. Some wine shops were also open and customers purchased stocks in large numbers.

While the lockdown is going on strictly for 20 hours, the other 4 hours there is no control over the public. There is no social distancing and there are no Covid rules to follow.

They are just thronging to the shops in large numbers during the 4 hours. Reaching back home in the stipulated time is another issue. Swarms of vehicles were seen speeding on the roads to reach home.

The medical shops are open, the petrol bunks are open, the banks are functioning but the customers are less in number during the 4 hours time. Most of the banks are deserted with no proper staff.

The medical shops are doing good business in the name of Corona. The construction activity is going on.
