The intervention of KTR the Minister for IT has ensured the delivery of food and other items through Swiggy and Zomato. Yesterday the delivery boys were stopped by the police.
Around 10000 vehicles were seized for violating the lockdown rules. There is a talk that some of the youth were using Zomato and Swiggy T-shirts illegally and going round the city.
Now the delivery boys will be allowed only in the prescribed route of the delivery for that particular item. In the name of delivery, they cannot go in whatever route they want.
The issue of the delivery boys was tweeted by Hyderabad MP Owaisi to KTR. KTR took up the issue with the DGP. The DGP after reviewing the issue has stated that the delivery boys with relevant ID and papers will be allowed.
Pizzas burgers, Chinese dishes are being delivered day in and day out by the boys. The fast-food makers are doing good business during the locked down.
From 6 am to 10 am the South Indian breakfast items are also being delivered across the city. The checking of the vehicles has been intensified on the borders of Telangana.
Today being Sunday the traffic is less on the roads.
