The image of PM Narendra Modi has taken a severe beating as he could not save the lives of the common in the second phase of Corona in the country. The Government was not prepared and could not provide Hospital beds and Oxygen to the Covid patients.

Experts are of the opinion that it was wrong on the part of Narendra Modi Government to export Covid vaccines to other countries when we don’t have enough stocks.

The public in general, in the run-up to 2019 polls, have bet for a stable Modi government rather than a fractured Opposition.

But the Government that has tackled Corona very effectively in the first phase has failed in the second phase miserably. With a stable government and strong political leadership, India had a great opportunity to emerge as a major power in Asia and cannot afford unnecessary distractions.

Corona has completed changed the financial condition of the Government and it will take a lot of time for the course correction.

India’s second deadly wave of Covid-19 has shattered Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s carefully orchestrated vaccine diplomacy leaving several neighbouring nations high and dry, dependent on India’s generosity.

There is no way that India can honour its commitment to provide vaccines when the country is facing an unprecedented health emergency with the essential supply of oxygen, drugs, hospital beds running out.It is even more important now for Modi to tackle the Hindutva hardline elements in the party and send a clear message to the outside world that his government intends to practice what it preaches—sabka saath, sabka vikas.
