As devotees from several places visit the temples to offer prayers and perform rituals, it might lead to a spread of the pandemic. We want to protect the health of all people.”
It may be recalled that the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam and kanakadurga Temple in Vijayawada were also closed for some time in the first phase of Corona.
Later they were opened with some restrictions. Now that there is a second wave sweeping the country and also in AP the officials have written to the government to look into the matter.
The Kumbh Mela in Haridwar has also become a major breeding ground for Corona. People from all over the country are coming to Haridwar for the Kumbh Mela and they are not observing any Covid rules and regulations.

When comes to Telangana, the Government has asked the people not to come for the seetharama Kalyanam at Bhadradri. They will be doing it on a low key with Officials and Priests.
