Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar, along with his wife, Anupa V Sajjanar exercised their franchise at Red Hills in the city on Sunday morning.
Sajjnar was carrying a voter card while his wife carried an Aadhar card. The couple posed for a photo and appealed to the people to exercise their franchise.
Sajjanar appealed to all graduate voters to come out and to exercise their democratic right. “Cast your vote first, then do other works next,” he said.
Elaborate arrangements with Covid norms in place have been made to ensure an incident-free election, he added.
It looked as if there was heavy police bundobust near the polling stations. Some polling stations were merged for better management. The GHMC has arranged for officials to guide the voters and provide them with the polling slips.
Most of the voters were not wearing masks. Some voters were seen searching for the polling booths. Some voters were seen being dropped on two-wheelers by the party workers.
