National Science day Celebrated in Hyderabad

Adhar Sinha, IAS., Director General EPTRI, Special Chief Secretary to Govt., Government of Telangana was the Chief Guest for the National Science Day Celebrations at CMR Technical Campus, Medchal.

The National Science Day is celebrated every year on February 28th in order to commemorate the discovery of Raman Effect in India for which Sir C.V. Raman has won Noble prize in 1930.

Speaking on this occasion,  Adhar Sinha, IAS has recalled that Hyderabad is the Hub of Science and Technology hosting several premier institutes such as IICT, CCMB, NIN, DRDO, IIT, BDL, HAL, Geological Survey of India. Sri Adhar Sinha told the state Government is encouraging the start-ups in the field of science and technology and bringing up many programmes.

The Director General told that when the entire Nation was shut down due to the pandemic it was only the education system which was running without interruption and that was possible only through Science and Technology. He also told the students that EPTRI is conducting several Green Skill Development Programmes in various sectors such as Water Budgeting, Green GPD, Solar, Water Treatment Systems, Ecology and Biodiversity to use the opportunity.

Shri Adhar Sinha, IAS, Special and Mr Gopal Reddy, Secretary CMR group of Institutes have concluded the day by distributing prizes to the outstanding students and winners of Science Expo.
