Former cricket captain of India, Mohammed Azharuddin expressed his unhappiness over the way the Sunrisers Hyderabad team has not picked up any Hyderabad player for the team.
The IPL auction ended and no one from Hyderabad was picked up by the Sunrisers. Thakur Tilak Verma must have got the chance to play for Sunrisers he opined.
“It is sad that Sunrisers did not sign a single player from Hyderabad. They should have selected a young player like Tilak Verma in the team. It is disappointing indeed.”
Azharuddin who was an MP for some time with the Congress party, later could not continue in the politics in an active manner. He is now with the Cricket again. He is the President for the Hyderabad cricket association.
He expressed his dissent over the way that no Hyderabadi has been selected for the Sunrisers team.
Azhar is of the opinion that promising Hyderabadi players should have been considered for the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
