90’s popular heroine Meena, who gave many hits like Seetha Ramayya Gari Manavaralu, Sundarakanda, President Gari Pellam, Allari Mogudu, Muthu took up the Green India Challenge given by Anchor & Big Boss 4 fame contestant Devi Nagavalli, a novel initiation Started by MP Santosh Kumar.
The diva planted the saplings at her residence in Saidapet, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. And speaking on this occasion she said, “The environment is changing day by day and it’s the responsibility of every human being to preserve and protect the greenery. This is what we can give back nature and planet earth.”
She appreciated the TRS MP Santosh Kumar for spreading this selfless cause not only in Telangana but also pan India. She further nominated Telugu actor Venkatesh, Kannada hero Sudeep , Malayalam actress Manju Warrier and Keerthi Suresh to plant the saplings.Nearly more than 5 crore saplings have been planted under the GIC across the country.
