The talks between the Government and the agitating farmers have begun and made a headway. The next talks are scheduled for 4th of January. This is the first headway in talks.
Tomar said that they agreed on 50 percent of the issues. They have also requested that the elders must be sent back to the villages.The MSP issue is not resolved. Both the parties agreed on 2 out of the four issues.
The farmers are not ready to agree on any panel for resolving the issue. They want direct discussions.
A panel will be setup on the issue of MSP where a new law would be formed. The Government has appealed to the farmers to end the protest while they said that it would be a peaceful agitation.
The agitation will continue in a non- conflict manner. The Government wanted the farmers that vandalism will not be tolerated.
