Around 100 pilgrims who have come for a direct darshan of the Lord Balaji here at the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam were on agitation this morning.

They were demanding for darshan tickets while the TTD said that tickets were sold up to 24th of this month. But they were in no mood to listen to the police and other officials.

We want darshan tickets nothing doing the women argued with the police. Some of them were waiting for the tickets for the last 48 hours. Women were at the Alipiri with children in severe cold conditions. Daily some tickets must be issued the pilgrims demanded.
From 25th to 3rd January only Vaikunam ticket holders will be allowed. So next 10 days there will be no tickets on daily basis. The TTD must find ways and means to give some tickets for the people who directly come to the Temple on daily basis.

Advance sale of tickets is creating these issues. Around 2 lakh tickets were sold in the name of Vaikuna Ekadasi for the next 10 days. Daily 20000 people will come for the Darshan.

The VIP letters and other recommendations were also stopped from first to third of January. Earlier the pilgrims were on a dharna inside the Temple for the sake of Prasadam. In the name of Corona, Prasadam is being given only to the VIP pilgrims now.
