This Monday marks the end of the auspicious Karthika Masam. People across the Telugu states and other states have been performing poojas every Monday as it was Karthika Masam considered to be very auspicious.
Some of them have observed fasting also in the name of Lord Shiva. having a holy dip in the rivers , lighting the lamps in the flowing waters was also done across the country.
Next comes the Mukkoti Ekadasi on December 25 where it is considered that the doors of the Heaven are kept open. Mukkoti Ekadasi is being observed for 10 days on the hill shrine of Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam.
Pilgrims have purchased around 2 lakh tickets for the Lord Balajis Darshan through the vaikuntadwaram. Daily 20000 people are allowed through this Vaikuntadwaram which is supposed to take you to the Heaven after the death.
Now people of all ages are allowed for Lord Darshan with Covid rules they said. Right now there is not scanning happening. Social distancing is also not observed.
The TTD has clarified that there will be no separate lines for kids and old people.
