Revanth Reddy the fire brand speaker is all set to become the new PCC chief for Telangana it is reported. He is already the working President of the party.
Uttam Kumar Reddy who could not give any success to the party in the recent elections had no other option but to resign from the post. He has submitted the resignation letter yesterday after the GHMC results.
The Congress got just two seats. He has suggested the AICC to appoint a new President for the party. But there is a talk that the BJP has approached Revanth to join the BJP.
Now that he is being considered for the PCC post he may not look at the BJP at this point in time. The Congress as such is not doing well across the country.
There is a talk that senior Congress leader V Hanumanth Rao is also looking at the PCC post. He is a BC leader and earlier was the PCC President during the regime of Rajiv Gandhi.
But the chances are bright for Revanth Reddy this time. The AICC might nominate Revanth to stop him from looking at the BJP. The party has to be built from the scratch in a big way.
The new leader has to tackle the TRS and also the rising BJP. Revanth who could not manage the GHMC election properly, alleged that to kill Congress the TRS and BJP managed the media with packages.
Managing the media goes against the norms of democracy. The media is not giving any scope and prominence to the Congress he said.
