Leader of the Opposition Akbaruddin questioned the TRS Government as to why do we need Krishna and Godavari water into Hyderabad ? He was talking on the eve of the GHMC elections here in Hyderabad.
He said that the Government must allow the water to get filled in Gandipet. He said that the water was not coming into the catchment areas, it was flowing to outer Ringh Road and other areas.
He found fault with the Government for saying that the house on Nalas will be demolished. What about the Kabzas in Secunderabad on the nalas he questioned.
Why only talk about Old city and Nalas in the name of kabzas he questioned? What is the Government doing when they were building on Nalas he asked? Why target only poor people he questioned?
MIM will definitely protect the interest of the poor people he said. Perhaps this is the first time that Akabaruddin talked against the TRS Government.
Akbar found fault with the Government saying that the local water is not being tapped and water is being tapped from other sources. Local water must be tapped and stored for the future he said.
Then we need not crave for water from Krishna and Godavari he said.
