MeeSeva and Equifax Credit Information Services Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Equifax Inc.have partnered to launch a service that provides personal credit reports to individuals.
“MeeSeva” is a good governance initiative of the Government of Telangana, through which 600+ G2C andG2B services are provided through assisted online mode through 4000 MeeSeva centres spread across the state. MeeSeva serves about 1,00,000 Citizens everyday. As part of the new service, MeeSeva would provide Equifax credit reportsto the customers based on theirConsent & Identification. Understanding and awareness of credit reports and scores will enable better credit access for citizens.
On the launch, Hon’ble Minister for IT, Industries, MA & UD, Shri K T Rama Rao said, “We have been at the forefront of driving inclusive growth in the state of Telangana. As citizens and businesses look to accessing capital to address immediate needs for finance, given the current scenario that has emerged due to the impact of Covid, Equifax risk score and credit report will be key to accessing finance or to avail loans. We are very pleased to enable access to Equifax credit score and report through 4000 Meesevacenters in the state.”
Shri G T Venkateshwar Rao, Commissioner ESDMeeSevasaid, “As another good governance initiative, we are partnering with Equifax for providing a consumer credit report to the citizens of Telangana. This new service will promote the twin objectives of financial literacy and financial inclusion in the state.”
Shri Jayesh Ranjan Principal Secretary ITEC department said, “The new offering would increase the ease of access of credit reports by the Citizens.”

Ltd. and Country Leader, Equifax India and MEA said, “We are very pleased to partner with MeeSeva of Govt. of Telangana for the first of its kind initiative on enabling access to credit reports for citizens of Telangana. Citizens can access these reports through MeeSeva centers across the state. We believe that convenient and wide access to credit reports, more importantly in rural areas of Telangana, will enhance credit literacy and in turn,enable improved access to credit in the state. We plan to offer more citizen-oriented services in the future under this platform.” The consumer credit report will be available at all the MeeSeva citizen centers across the state of Telangana.
