The Union Finance Ministry has clarified that no new scheme will be announced till next march. This is due t the grim economic situation in the country and the slowdown caused by the Corona Virus.
The Finance Ministery has suggested the states also not to send any requests for the new scheme. Even the schemes announced in the latest budget are also put on hold it is reported.
Meanwhile, there are rumours in the political corridors that the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharman could be replaced by Kamath.
It has to be saw when the Priem Minster is going to reshuffle the cabinet. This is an indication that the Finance Ministry is reeling in trouble and needs some change to be implemented at the earliest.
Nirmala Sitharaman was holding he defence portfolio first and then she has been shifted to Finance,. Now we have to see what portfolio will greet her.
So the Government has decided to follow the austerity measures til the next budget.
