The Corona lockdown has been extended by two more weeks in India. As a result, the films which were getting ready for release after the 4th May are ow postponed again.
Tollywood which is making a large number of films when compared to Bollywood is in deep trouble. Producers like Suresh Babu of Suresh Productions, Allu Aravind from Geeta Arts and Dil Raju of Sri Venkateshwara pictures are planning to have a digital platform to release the films in the near future.
They have come to a conclusion n that they should not depend entirely n the theatres only. The audience coming to the theatre’s area also coming down drastically. People are preferring to see the movie at homes.
Allu Aravind has already started Aha for release of the movies. Suresh production also wanted to begin an OTT platform, but they have dropped the idea and thought it fit to go for Netflix for the time being.
Dil Raju is also toying with the idea of coming up with an alternative platform for the release of the films. Rajamouli is also planning ce up with web series shortly.
He has announced that his hear is with the Web series. Rajamouli popular as jakkanna is liking and loving the web series more that’s that of the movies. Perhaps he is finding more money in the were series. But that is a different ball game altogether.
Lets hope the film world will find an alternative to the theatres.
