Chief Secretary,Sri B P Acharya, IAS, DG, Dr MCR HRD Institute launched the idol of Dr V Chandra Mowli, a 1962-batch IAS Officer, and inaugurated the Hall named after him..
The event was attended by his wife, daughter, grandchildren, and other close relatives. A number of Officers, Faculty, and Staff of the Institute, including Sri Harpreet Singh, IAS and Dr A Ashok, IAS, ADGs of the Institute, also participated in the event.
On this occasion, Sri K Madhav Rao, IAS (Retd.), Sri B V Rama Rao, IAS (Retd.), Smt. Gayathri Rama Chandran, IAS (Retd.), Sri B P Acharya, , IAS, and Sri Jwala Narasimha Rao recalled the worth-emulating services of Dr Chandra Mowli in the United Andhra Pradesh. All of them unanimously stated that Sri Chandra Mowli was not only a successful bureaucrat but also a great human being.
“He learnt and perfected the art of getting the things done within the government framework, which is well known for its rigidity”, opined all of them and added that his one-point agenda of life was to help people, especially those who belong to weaker sections.
Acharya, IAS stated that Dr Chandra Mowli, who was the Director General of Dr MCR HRD Institute of Telangana during 1995, brought about a number of innovative changes in the domain of training which are remembered at the Institute even till today.
