Since the public has become more of Health consciousness, importance would be given to the “right to walk” concept by developing footpaths said the Hon’ble Minister MA&UD K.T.Rama Rao.
During the review meeting with the Zonal Commissioners and Engineering officials at Budha Bhavan here today, The Hon’ble Minister said today the citizens are giving much important to the Health and asked the GHMC officials to provide right to walk path, by providing sufficient footpath.
The Government machinery should act and provide the facilities according the citizens needs. There is need for development of more parks, greenery, public toilets, play grounds, foot over bridge and internal / link roads zone wise.
Responsibility of Zonal Commissioners on developmental activites and beautification in their respective zones.
Detail report on present status of parks, facilities, CC cameras for security, lighting and toilets and security guards at major parks.
Priority to walkers by providing proper footpaths.
Development / improvement of greenery by allocating more funds.
In order to prevent accidents at school zones, providing grills on footpath.
Removal of encroachments on footpaths.
Development of greenery under flyovers.
Meeting with the Architectures on improvement of junctions, landscape under CSR and Public participation.
Report on feasibility on providing public toilets in parks.
Facilities to be provided in play ground to encourage youth to participate in sports activities instead of using mobiles by the youth.
Providing cycling track in parks and playgrounds in each zone with the colony residents.
