No water problem in Hyderabad

Responding to a question on improving the condition of the roads in Hyderabad city, he said, “The comprehensive road maintenance program has kick-started and you will start seeing betterment.” KTR also ruled out the financial crunch aspect and said, “No financial crunch whatsoever for SRDP. It’s an important focus area for future infrastructure requirements of Hyderabad.”

On improving connectivity in densely populated areas, KTR said that the government is working on plans for e-BRTS.

Talking about predictions of NITI Aayog’s report mentioning water shortage in Hyderabad, KTR said, “Absolutely no truth in that. Quite the contrary; Hyderabad will be one of the few cities in India that will not have a problem of water shortage; especially after completing the Kaleshwaram project which also assures Drinking water to the city.”

KTR said that the government learning the problems of people in the ground without strong opposition, “We have our ears on the ground and our 60 lakhs grass root members constantly give us feedback.”

When asked about lifting GO 111, he said, “Well it needs to be thought out carefully. We have to make sure the two lakes; Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar are well maintained even if we make changes to the 111 GO.”

Talking about Social Media platforms, KTR said, “It gives you a wonderful direct connection to the pulse of people.” He also stated that memes on him are fine as long as they are not indecent and disrespectful.

In one of the tweets, he said the most awaited Pharma city will be inaugurated in 2020.
