TTD is taking steps to close the Temple for Solar Eclipse. It has already closed the free food supply centre or the Annaprasadam centre.
The Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam will be closed for around 13 hours from 25th and 26th. The Temple will be shut on 25th and 26th of December for the Solar eclipse.
The Balaji Temple will be opened for Darshan after cleansing it according to the rituals as specified in Agama systems.
The Solar eclipse commences at 8.08 am and concludes by 11.16 am on December 26th. As per the traditional systems, the Temple will be closed from December 25 the 11pm to 12 pm on December 26th. The regular darshan of Lord Balaji will open from 2pm on 26th.
The Temple is believed to have been constructed over a period staring 300 AD. The Temple which is on the top of 7 hills attracts around 60000 to one lakh, pilgrims, on a daily basis. It is one of the richest temples across the world.
Ramana Deekhshitulu has made a come back as the chief Priest with the blessings of Chief Minister Jagan. The TTD is expecting a revenue of around 3116 crores for the year 2019-20. TTD has around Rs 12000 crore in the form of fixed deposits.
