The Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Tammineni Sitaram is in news for making adverse comments against the officials and also threatening them.
Mahatma Jytorao Phules anniversary was done in Srikakulam and the constituency of the Speaker Tammineni Sitaram. Mahatma Phules Anniversary was celebrated and the local public representative that is the Speaker was not invited for the program.
Tammineni rushed to attend the program and questioned the officials as to who organised the program and then ignored him. He wanted to know why he was not invited and that the protocol was violated in the process.
He said that he would beat them up if he was ignored again. How can they ignore him was the question. But as a speaker of Assembly, he should not threaten them that he would beat them up.
Speaker is a powerful but also a respectful position. Even if the officials have erred he cannot beat them up. The speaker is certainly at fault. He should have apologised to them after that.
Since issue occurred with the Speaker of the Assembly, only people at the level of Chief Minister can correct him.
