The meeting between NCP Chief Sharad Pawar and the PM Modi has alerted the Congress party chief Sonia Gandhi. Now the Congress party is ready to support the Sena Government in Maharashtra.
The first item on the agenda is to see that the MLAs of Sena, Congress and the NCP sign a letter of support to Sena informing the Government. First, they want to stake a claim for the power and then would think about the 50/50 system later.
Sena was kept on the tenterhooks by the Congress for a long time while NCP was not averse to support the Sena Government. The Modalities of the chief Minister post were not finalised.
There is a chance that the first half of the term would be governed by the Sena chief Minister Uddhav Thackerey and the next half would be governed by the NCP. This is according to the present prevailing situation.
We do not know how things change after the formation of the Government in Maharashtra. The first item on the agenda of the Congress meeting was to keep the BJP out of power in Maharashtra.
