Justice SA Bobde is the new Chief Justice of India. President Ramnath Kovind has administered the oath of secrecy to Bobde today. Former Chief Justice Gogoi has recommended the name of Bobde the senior-most Judge from the Supreme Court for the post.
Gogoi has sent the recommendation to the Ministry of Law and the same was approved. Bobde is al the successor for Gogoi who was also the part of the bench which pronounced for Rama Janma Bhoomi in Ayodhya which is considered to be historic.
Now the task of Sabarimala will be before the new CJI Bobde. The Judges are already discussing over the matter.
Gogoi was the 46th CJI of India and Bobe will be the 47nth CJI of the country. The Present CJI Gogi has demitted the office on November 17. Ayodya Ram temple verdict is the popular verdict given by Gogoi.
The former CJI has implemented the convention of giving the post to the Senior most Judge in the Supreme court and there is no dispute about this.
