Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy must attend the court regularly ruled the Judge at the CBI court in Hyderabad. The judges of behalf of the CBI argued that Jagan could influence the evidence and that he must attend the court.

The Jagan lawyers argued that the CM was having work and that every trip that he makes to attend the CBI court in Hyderabad is costing the Government around 60 to 70 lakhs.

But the CBI lawyers wanted the court to see that Jagan attends the cases in person and that he should come to the court on every Friday as scheduled earlier. This is a big blow to the image of the Government.

The Court has dismissed the petition filed by Jagan lawyers asking for an exemption to the CM from attending the court in person. This is like a morale booster to the TDP which has been fighting against the YSRC Government and also the CM Jagan in particular.

Some of the Jagan decisions against the projects in the name of saving money have boomeranged making a dent into his image. The central agencies have suggested that the reverse tendering will only rise the project cost instead of saving money to the Government.
