Aaditya Thackeray the son of Uddhav Thakeray is all set to contest from Worli this election. The Maharashtra polls are prestigious for both the BJP and also Shivsena.
The rains have battered entire Maharashtra and it could make some difference for the BJP. More than 100 people have died in the state.
Aaditya is the son of the party chief Uddhava and he has to win the seat.
Aaditya will be the first member of the family to contest the election directly.
Sitting MLA from Worli in Mumbai is vacating the seat for Aaditya this time. Worli is the safest place for Shivsena and Aaditya is expected to win easily from this constituency.
Shivsena was founded in 1966 by Balthakeray and so far no one has contested any election from the Thackeray family. They did not accept any constitutional post also.
If Aaditya wins he will be the first MLA from the family. Uddhav, on the other hand, has promised Balthackeray his father that he would install a Shiv Sainik as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
Pm Modi has already started the election campaign here in Maharashtra where he talked about article 370.
