Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who made Bathukamma a state festival said that is the self-respect of the Telangana people. Here we worship the climate by doing pooja to the flowers.
Not only that he is spending around 300 crore for gifting saress to the sisters and mothers of Telangana, which no other state has done so far. Kavitha in the name of Jagruthi has spread the message of bathukamma across the world.
Telugu people across the world are celebrating bathukamma under the leadership of Kavitha and Jagruthi. The bathukamma festival will start today it will be done for the next 8 days.
Ladies across the state have received Bathukamma sarees. Bathukamma festival will be done in a big way at LalBahadur stadium in Hyderabad and the ladies would come in a procession toTankbund and then immerse the Bathukamma in the waters.
Not only Dasara, the Government is celebrating Ramzan and also Christmas in a big way in the state. Free clothes are given for these festivals also apart from a Dawat and dinner.
The women are very happy that they have tanks and canals full of water where they can immerse the flowers of Bathukamma. Snacks are shared at the water bodies after the Bathukamma event.
