Telangana resolution against Uranium

The lawmakers in the Assembly and also the council have passed a resolution against the Uranium digging in the forests of Nallamala. The resolution will be sent to the central Government asking them not to go for the quarrying in the Nallamala forests.

The Government of Telangana has stated that there are different kinds of animals and also the greenery apart from some cultivation here and there. Taking the ecosystem into consideration the central Government must withdraw the decision of digging for Uranimum in the Nallamala forests the lawmakers stated.

It may be noted that there were a lot of protests against the Urnimum digging.

Many film personalities also opposed the idea of digging Nallamala forests. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and also Minister for IT and Industries KT Rama Rao said that there was no permission for digging in the Nallamala forests. To this effect, they passed a resolution in the Assembly and also the legislative council to be sent to the BJP Government at the centre.

The resolution was proposed by the Congress leader Bhatti Vikramarka yesterday and was agreed by the Chief Minister KCR in the Assembly. Both the houses passed the resolution unanimously and it would be sent to the centre for further action. However, KCR said that he would fight with the centre to stop the digging in Nallmala forests.
