This year the Khairatabad Ganesha is ready well in advance. It is already drawing huge crowds to the venue. But this time there will be no laddu it is reported.
Ganesha is always popular with the Laddoo and Prasadam.
Every year huge laddu would come from Tapeshwaram and it was being distributed as prasadam for the pilgrims. But saving the laddu with all hygiene has become a big issue for the organisers.
The Laddu was getting spoiled due to rains. Sp the organisers have decided to do away with the Laddoo from Tapeshwaram.
At the same time distribution of laddu prasadam was also a big task. So the organsiers have thought it fit not to install the Laddu in the hands of the Ganehsa this time.
However, the prasadam will be given all the days at the foot of Ganesha after the darshan. At the same time strategy is being done for the immersion of this Ganesha ahead of time to avoid traffic snarls.
This year it is 61 feet high and there is no issue of power cables as they are made underground now.
