Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has instructed the officials to complete Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme on a fast note like it was done for the Kaleswaram project and make arrangements for the supply of water to the croplands by next Monsoon season.
The CM held a review on the erstwhile Mahbubnagar district projects at Pragati Bhavan.
The CM said by completing the on-going projects on a fast track, in the Palamuru district, water is being given to half of the agriculture lands in the district.
For the remaining 50 per cent land water should be given through the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme. Like Kaleshwaram project this scheme also should be completed by working three shifts on day and night. Water should be given by next monsoon.
The CM also discussed with the officials concerned about the ongoing works being done on the Palamuru Project and the works to be completed in future. He has instructed the officials to take up works of the Reservoirs, Pump Houses, and Canals simultaneously.
The CM wanted the senior officials to have periodic visits on the field and expedite the works. In the meetings, Irrigation E-in-C Sri Muralidhar Rao, Chief Engineer Sri Ramesh and other officials participated.
