There is divided opinion in Jammu and Srinagar over the celebrations of Eid. Government advisor Ajit Doval who has visited J and K talked to the people and some of them said that they were getting ready for the EID celebrations.
Some people who were against the reorganisation of J and K said that the people were unhappy and that they were preparing to celebrate the matham. There is divided opinion over the division of J and K into union territories. Some are preparing of Bakrid and the goats are in the market for sale.
Doval was in Anantnag and we could see the visuals of people getting ready for Bakrid. Doval also visited Shopian. The 144 section clamped during the division of the J and K was now lifted in some areas.
However, the 14 sections are continuing in some areas which are sensitive. Doval was almost in the hotbed of terror in J and K , but it looked as if the situation was in control and people are coming back to normalcy here in J and K.
There is a mixed version of the situation here in the media. Some say the valley is limping back to normalcy, while others say that it is just like a lull before the storm. Some people have questioned Doval as how can they be happy in this situation.
But Russia has supported the line taken by the Indian Government and appreciated the reorganisation of J and K.
