Finance Minister Nirmala Seetharaman has sprinkled the funds like chicken feed to the Telugu states. Except for some huge allocations to IIT and other educational institutions in Telangana and Andhra, no other significant allocations have been shown in the annexures stated by the Finance Minister.
It’s not clear if the Budget has given some specific allocations for the Railways in the Telugu states. TRS MPs Nama Nageshwar Rao and Kotha Prabhakar have stated that the new Finance Minister did not give anything to the Telugu states. Except for an allocation to the IIT Hyderabad, and a University of AP, there are no other allocations to be talked about.
This is a gross injustice to the state of Telangana and Andhra they opined. MP Vijaya Sai Reddy from Andhra Pradesh said that there was nothing much for Andhra in the full-fledged budget presented by the Finance Minister. He said that broadly some schemes are good for the Nation.
The Har Ghar Jal is a scheme copied from MIssion Bageeratha Nama Nageshwar Rao opined. They should have allocated more funds to the water schemes of Telangana Nama opined.
Mission Bageeratha and Kakateeya deserve more central finance and help he stated. Broadly the budget looked like an extension of the Interim budget presented by Piyush Goel.
