The doctors in West Bengal have become adamant and they are not going to meet anyone for the talks also. Meanwhile, the strike of the junior doctors continues and the patients are facing severe problems. The strike has entered the 5th day and the doctors have not taken the offer given by the CM Mamata Banerjee. The Junior doctors are demanding that CM Mamatha Banerjee should come to the college in person and apologise to them. The CM must give an unconditional apology, the Junior doctors demanded.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Mamata has held several rounds of talks with the senior doctors. Junior doctors from other states are also supporting the cause the doctors here. The deadlines set by the Chief Minister and the government were just brushed away and ignored by the junior doctors. Some doctors abused Mamata when she visited the hospital. Mamata said that they can abuse her, but they cannot trouble the patients here.
Mamata blamed the CPM and BJP for instigating the junior doctors. Some leading doctors in the country also launched a strike in support of the junior doctors. 15 hospitals from Delhi have joined the agitation and they are planning to continue it till the issue is resolved in Kolkata. The doctors of AIIMS have issued an ultimatum of 48 hours to didi to resolve the issue.
