Popular director of Tollywood who was called as Bapineedu passed away. He was 86. He did blockbusters like Gang leader for Chiranjeevi. Magadheerudu, Khaidi No 786 were some of his popular movies. He was known as Chiranjeevi’s director.
His real name is Gutha Bapineedu Chowdhary but is very popular as Bapineedu.
Before coming to movies and working for Tollywood he worked for Telugu magazines like Bommarillu and Neelima.
We can say that he is a journalist who turned into a successful director and giving super duper hits for Chiranjeevi the megastar. Magamaharaju, Mayadagadu, Patnam Vchchina pativratalu are also his movies.
He was born in Eluru in 1936 in a small village and later graduated to become a journalist for some magazines and then became a Director. All the movies made by him Chiranjeevi are very popular.
